District of Clearwater Accounting / MV/ICBC Clerk 2
The District of Clearwater is looking for a dynamic qualified customer service focused individual to perform a variety of accounting duties. Reporting to the Director of Finance this position will be responsible for accounts receivable, cash receipting, backup to payroll and MV/ICBC duties as required.
This 0.80 FTE (28 hours per week) position is a permanent appointment based on successful probation.
The successful candidate will have strong accounting background, demonstrate organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills and can multi-task in a fast paced environment. The incumbent must possess the ability to work efficiently, be able to prioritize on a day to day basis, and work with minimum supervision.
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of three to five years' experience in accounting in Accounts Receivable and payroll experience. Candidates must also have experience with a variety of office equipment and be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Both experience within a municipal environment and a certificate in an accredited accounting program is an asset. The District will train on the MV/ICBC duties.
This position is subject to the provisions of the CUPE Local 900 Collective Agreement. Please note that the shortlisted candidates may be required to demonstrate proficiency through standard testing.
